Storm Safety and Municipal Utility Poles

Doug Reeves
Storm damage, especially regarding municipal utility poles, is a major concern for municipalities across the USA and Canada. This type of damage can result in high costs and the reduced lifespan of the poles. That is, however, unless you opt to make use of the Fiberglass Repair System (FRS) from GRA Services!

What Is FRS?

The Fiberglass Repair System is a product that can be used to address mild to severe damage to utility poles. It is adept at repairing groundline damage, upper level damage as well as storm damage. It is particularly useful when it comes to repairing utility poles that have been snapped or broken as a result of wind and ice storms.

The Benefits of FRS

The sturdy and affordable Fiberglass Repair System sleeves are versatile due to the fact that they are available in three standard lengths:

1. FRS 4-Foot Length - Pole Repair System
This FRS sleeve can be used in the repair and maintenance of Class 2-6 poles. Three bolt clamps and straps are required to complete the repair.

2. FRS 6-Foot Length - Pole Repair System
This FRS sleeve can also be used in the repair and maintenance of Class 2-6 poles. As with the 4-foot length FRS sleeves, three bolt clamps and straps are required to complete the repair.

3. FRS 8-Foot Length - Pole Repair System
The 8-foot length FRS sleeves are exactly the same as the previous two (aside from being longer). The only difference is that they require a total of four bolt clamps and straps in order to complete the repair.
