Wood utility poles, which represent more than sixty percent of utility companies' assets, can deteriorate due to climate change, insect, or even human interference. The replacement of poles can lead to service providers spending an extensive amount of labor and material costs. Repairing utility poles and extending their service life is therefore seen as a more convenient and inexpensive solution...but what are the products guaranteed to achieve this? TimberBond comes to the rescue… being a reliable alternative to replacing utility poles.

TimberBond is a convenient, cost-effective and reliable method of restoration, repair and maintenance of timber poles. With our “Try It, You’ll Like it!” incentive program, you can try out our TimberBond and see how it benefits utility companies and service partners around the country. Why should you trust our products?

As a leading service provider for wood utility poles, we understand all too well the frustration and costs involved in replacing utility poles. When new utility poles are installed to replace damaged poles, service providers and users lose money due to downtime and disruptions in supply. To prevent this from occurring, you need products that can repair utility poles both effectively and timeously.

TimberBond
is one of our products that is guaranteed to both repair and maintain the integrity of utility poles. It is seen as the most cost-effective alternative for replacing a pole as it reduces asset management costs through restorating and extending the life of damaged utility poles. The product quickly repairs damage done by termites, lightning and similar causes.

Timberbond
is also ideal to repair end grain splitting, rotting or deterioration at the top of wood utility poles. It is easily applied, permanent and has a watertight seal that fills and strengthens all cracks and voids.

What products can I try out?

GRA Services International has Timberbond available in two formulations through our incentive program called “Try It, You’ll Like it!”. The program is an ideal way for cooperatives and utility providers to test out our products and includes the costs of the tools required for repairs. Companies often make use of the program to test and apply Timberbond to pole caps before installation to repair utility poles and prevent weather damage from occurring.

Our incentive program provides both
TimberBond formulations to both first-time and repeats buyers. One can be used to penetrate and fill deep holes and the other to seal the hole and bring the pole back to its original strength. Both provide maximum strength and adhesive with no additional pre-mixing or less.

Specific TimberBond formulations include:

TimberBond NSG

This is a high strength two-component formula product. TimberBond NSG does not leak or sag, guaranteeing the extension of a utility pole’s service life. It can be used for both internal and exterior damage repairs, maintenance, and pole capping.

TimberBond VFG

Just like TimberBond NSG, this is a high-strength two-component formula. The difference with TimberBond VFG is that it is of lower viscosity.

With it comes the repair and maintenance of utility poles, TimberBond VFG is used first in areas of decay and the work is then completed with TimberBond NSG.

The
“Try It. You’ll Like It! incentive program also lets you try out Safety Data Sheets (SDS) which are available for both TimberBond VFG and TimberBond NSG. This incentive program includes the costs of the tools required for use with TimberBond.

The
TimberBond comes with a commitment of free shipping of a starter kit containing 8 items. This shows how much we trust that our TimberBond will be 100% effective in the repair of utility poles.
