How does GRA Services’ Secure Set Pad Leveling Foam Actually Work?

Doug Reeves
Secure Set Pad Leveling Foam is specifically designed to level out and secure the foundation of transformer pads and other utility structures that require additional stability.

Why do transformer pads and other utility structures start to lean?

Transformer pads and other utility structures can start to lean if the foundation is not level or stable. This can be due to inferior installation of products being used to set the foundation underneath it,  but it can also be due to the gradual erosion of the soil from harsh weather conditions, as well as human error.

How pad leveling foam levels and supports utility structures

Secure Set Pad Leveling Foam is a dual component MDI based polyurethane of the highest quality. The foam is designed to close and fill any gaps that occur under the transformer pad leveling out the surface beneath it and provides a more firm and stable foundation for transformer pads and other utility structures. It can be applied around and underneath utility structures and expands to fill the hole in which the utility pole will be placed and sets the pole firmly in place.

Advantages of Secure Set Pad Leveling Foam

  • Can expand to fill a void completely
  • Comes in high volumes
  • Doesn’t deteriorate like concrete
  • Is environmentally friendly
  • No water is required

Secure Set Pad Leveling Foam is lightweight and easy to apply as it is inserted directly into a void underneath utility structures and is left to expand, set, and work its magic leaving you with a secure and safe foundation.
